Grab your notebooks and pencils, folks:
Hey Alma Hebrew School will soon be in session.
Whether you loved it, hated it, can’t remember a thing or didn’t ever go, we can guarantee you’ve never been to a Hebrew School like this. Our 5-week virtual curriculum explores everything from rituals to history to golems (obviously golems) and will give you a deeper dive into Judaism, no matter what your level of observance or prior education may be.
Join us for the most fun you’ll ever have in summer school.

- Five live, expert-led classes covering Jewish rituals, witchcraft, history, spirituality and language, meeting Monday nights from July 6-August 3.
- An aggressively warm, open, non-academic environment
- Live Q&As and discussions with your teachers and fellow students, plus a 24/7 platform to continue the conversation
- Session recordings and resources for further learning and exploration
- A new
pathway for connecting to your Jewishness (while wearing pajamas)

Are the courses live or pre-recorded?
The courses are live, and recordings will be made available to all students after each session.
What if I can’t join for one or more weeks?
No problem! You’ll be able to access a recording of any session you missed.
Will I get to chat with my fellow students?
Yes! Both during the class and afterwards, you’ll have opportunities to connect and schmooze with your fellow Hebrew School students.
Do I have to be Jewish to attend?
No! These classes are open to anyone interested in learning more about Jewish rituals, customs and history.
Are there any age limits?
Hey Alma Hebrew School is open to anyone between the ages of 18-120.
Will there be any tests or assessments?
We would never do that to you.

Deeply Jewish and endlessly scrollable. Hey Alma covers identity, culture, and humor for the chronically online, bringing strong opinions, real feelings, and a fresh perspective to everything from pop culture to politics.
We believe in using our platform to raise the voices of all Jews, but especially those who often don’t get heard enough in the organized Jewish world, including Jews of Color, queer Jews, Jews by choice, and Mizrahi and Sephardic Jews.
Hey Alma Hebrew School is made possible through the generous support of the Covenant Foundation.
